The hull is of all welded steel construction, double chine bilge hull form with raked
stem and transom stern . Having one continuous deck arranged with six refrigerated salt
water system tanks serviced by six individual hatches on the main deck with a cargo
handling mast & boom located at amidships. The wheel house is forward on the forecastle
deck. The hull appears to be in good condition.
From forward to aft below the main deck, the vessel is subdivided into four
compartments:
• Forepeak containing the forward ballast tank (8 tonne capacity) and the hydraulic
tank.
• Engine Room Compartment with main engines, electrical panels, hydraulics
generator, auxiliary generators, RSW manifold and various pumps. Forward section
of the engine room is the ships forward 65 HP tunnel thruster.
• The RSW tanks are arranged three tanks per side in the next compartment. An access
tunnel runs over the shaft tunnel, between the RSW fish tanks and connects the
engine room to the steering compartment, there is an escape hatch on the aft end to
the main deck.
• The lazarette is aft of the fish tanks with two 5000 gallon fuel tanks port and
starboard. The rope and net stores are located forward of the fuel tanks port and
starboard with the dual piston steering gear on the centerline aft.
On the main deck from forward the arrangement is as follows
• Store room containing a deep freeze and shelving in the raised foc’sle deck.
• Aft of the store room to starboard is a 4- man berth cabin with lockers.
• Aft of that is the engineers cabin with berths for two.
• Port side from the store room is a 2 man cabin followed by the main deck water closet
containing the sink, toilet and shower with a washer and dryer.
• Hallway joining all the cabins is an escape hatch with ladder to the deck above.
• Aft , port side is the engine room entrance for access to the engine room from the
deck and the accommodations area. This area contains a workshop with benches and
storage.
• Aft of this space just off the main deck is a water closet containing toilet and wash
basin.
• The mess is starboard with table and seating for ten. This space also has a TV, VCR
and stereo system.
• Access to the wheel house above via stairs on the forward end of the galley/mess.
• Starboard side is the galley containing double stainless steel sink, commercial type
range/oven, refrigerator, and storage space.
The open deck area from the deck house to transom is outfitted as follows:
• On the centerline is the double drum seine winch, with mast and boom arrangement.
On the mast/boom arrangements are 8 winches of various sizes and a 35” Power bloc at
the end of the boom.
• Portside access to the engine room and wet locker is off the main deck, forward of the
“Transvac” fish pump and the dewatering box.
• Hopper on centerline for use with four of the six fish tanks which are accessed
through hatches in the deck.
• Starboard side is the roller and purse davit.
• Aft of the main deck is the seine table, a raised deck area where the purse seine net is
stored. A center slope ramp is fitted to facilitate quick retrieval and deployment of a
26’ aluminum tow off skiff.
• The seining skiff is an aluminum 26’ long by 10’ breadth powered by V6 53 series
GM engine with twin disc transmission.
On the foc’sle deck is as follows:
• The forward deck has a hydraulic anchor handling windlass and anchor forward.
• Raised wheelhouse is arranged from port side with auxiliary helm, chart table and
main helm for captain with controls and electronic equipment to starboard.
• Access to the forecastle’sle deck through doors of the wheel house on port and
starboard.
• The captains cabin is aft of the wheel house and recessed approximately 30” below
the fo’csle deck with double stand up lockers and 1 berth to port with desk starboard,
and bench seat aft. The captains water closet is to starboard with shower, toilet and
sink
• Aft of the wheelhouse is the 18” overrun winch and spare power block as well as
access to the wheelhouse top.
